OLA Awards 2011 Scholarships

The Ohio Lobbying Association recently awarded $1,000 scholarships each to two Ohio State University students. The students, Alexandra Duquenne of Hudson, Ohio and Josh Kohlschmidt of Dublin, Ohio, are members of the John Glenn School of Public Policy’s Learning Community.

The scholarships are awarded as part of OLAs annual program designed to encourage undergraduate students toward a career in public service. Mike Carroll, At-Large member of the OLA Board of Trustees and Chair of the OLA Education & Outreach Committee, awarded the scholarships on June 2, 2011 at a Learning Community dinner celebration featuring Glenn School founders former Senator John and Annie Glenn. The competitive scholarships will help defray the cost of the students’ education, and were awarded based on scholastic achievement, outstanding political or governmental service, community service, participation in extra-curricular activities, and other awards and recognitions.
