The 2012 Board of Trustees was elected by the membership at the Annual Meeting on March 13, 2012 at the Capital Club. Following the meeting, the members joined legislators from the 129th General Assembly at a reception in the President’s Dining Room. The scholarships are awarded as part of OLAs annual program designed to encourage undergraduate students toward a career in public service. Mike Carroll, At-Large member of the OLA Board of Trustees and Chair of the OLA Education & Outreach Committee, awarded the scholarships on June 2, 2011 at a Learning Community dinner celebration featuring Glenn School founders former Senator John and Annie Glenn. The competitive scholarships will help defray the cost of the students’ education, and were awarded based on scholastic achievement, outstanding political or governmental service, community service, participation in extra-curricular activities, and other awards and recognitions.
