Governor Kasich Addresses OLA Members

 

  On April 19, 2013, Governor John Kasich was the special guest speaker at he Ohio Lobbying Association’s Signature Series lunch, held at the Capital Club. Governor Kasich addressed a record crowd, sharing his views on topics as far ranging as the state budget bill (“I wouldn’t change a thing”) to his relationship with God (“I can’t tell you how important my personal beliefs are to me.”) The Governor told his audience of OLA members that he will always work to provide relief for those in Ohio who are less fortunate. Following his remarks, the Governor took questions from the audience. Prior to his departure, the Governor paused for a photo with the OLA Board.

On May 7, 2013, the Ohio Village Muffins defeated the Capitol Cannons (comprised of Ohio legislators) with a final score of 6-0. The Annual “Base Ball” game, held on the lawn of the Statehouse, had an excellent turnout, despite the intermittent rain, which hampered the outfielders chasing balls on slick grass. The Muffins scored all six runs in one inning! The Ohio Lobbying Association was happy to participate in the sponsorship of this yearly event.
