Cheryl Subler Selected as CCAO Executive Director

December 17, 2019 - The County Commissioners Association of Ohio board of directors has selected Cheryl Subler, CCAO managing director of policy, as the new executive director. She will assume the role on Jan. 11, 2020.

“I’m very honored and excited to accept the role of executive director,” Subler said. “I thank the board for their faith in me, and I look forward to working alongside our membership and with my co-workers to build a stronger state-county partnership with the DeWine Administration and the 133rd General Assembly. This year has brought a renewed sense of partnership between Ohio’s statehouse and 88 courthouses, and we look forward to a bright 2020.”

Subler began her work with CCAO in 1996 and has served as the managing director of policy, a policy analyst and research associate.

2020 CCAO President Carl Davis, Monroe County Commissioner said, “Cheryl Subler was selected as executive director since she knows the organization after being on staff since 1996. She has a good relationship with county commissioners across the state and is familiar with the staff. It was a natural fit for the position of executive director to lead our association.”

Subler will replace executive director Suzanne Dulaney, who submitted her resignation to accept a job in the private sector.
